Equip Health is hiring a Registered Dietitian - Eating Disorders (Remote - Central Time Zone)

About the Role

Equip Health is looking for a Registered Dietitian to manage all nutrition-related aspects of care for patients with eating disorders. In this remote role, you will deliver evidence-based care via telehealth as part of a collaborative treatment team, working closely with family members to equip them with skills for nutritional restoration.

What You'll Do

  • Assist patients and families in transforming maladaptive eating patterns into a healthy relationship with food through ongoing support.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans via telehealth, including initial nutrition assessment, meal plan prescription, and target weight assessment.
  • Guide the process of exposure to fear and challenge foods.
  • Communicate patient meal plans and nutrition concerns to all team members and provide education on resolving them.
  • Echo treatment team directives in interactions with families.
  • Assist with discharge planning.
  • Update treatment plans weekly with patient progress, goals, assignments, and concerns.
  • Reassess nutritional needs on an ongoing basis and communicate recommendations to the treatment team and families.
  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition education to challenge irrational thoughts around food, nutrition, weight, and shape.
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with families, including rapport building, boundary setting, and a working alliance.
  • Perform thorough documentation within Equip’s electronic medical record.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Licensed RDN required.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients, with each patient receiving care for up to 52 weeks.
  • Strong skills in communication and collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Experience working on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Organized and results-driven.
  • Ability to understand and balance business needs and clinical priorities.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation.
  • Ability to provide 30 hours a week of availability for direct patient care.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in your time zone throughout the week.
  • Ability to commit to working until 8pm two evenings per week (Monday - Thursday).
  • Ability to attend mandatory meetings (i.e., Group Supervision, Treatment Huddles, Labs/All Hands, Individual Supervision, etc.).
  • Must be located in the Central Time Zone.

Nice to Have

  • Eating disorder experience preferred.
  • Exposure or experience to family-based eating disorder treatment approaches preferred.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a collaborative treatment team including a therapist, dietitian, physician, and peer and family mentor.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 Annually (Base Pay + Performance-Based Bonus Potential)

  • Work From Home Perks: $50/month stipend for home internet; Initial work-from-home stipend of up to $500; Reload of $200 on the home office stipend at the 3-year mark and then every other year after that; Company Laptop.

Work Mode

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in the Central Time Zone.
