Avery Dennison is hiring a Regional Sales Director, North America to lead the Taylor Adhesives brand as the primary architect of its growth strategy. You will navigate a matrix organization to align R&D, Marketing, and Operations to serve the building products and flooring industries.
What You'll Do
- Define and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), owning the roadmap for market share expansion and profitability.
- Represent Avery Dennison as a thought leader in major trade associations and technical conferences, shaping the future of the adhesives and flooring sectors.
- Lead sales efforts to profitably grow the Taylor Adhesives business.
- Develop and execute business and customer plans.
- Develop new business models and negotiate major contracts.
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with major North American distributors and clients.
- Work with Marketing to formulate strategy, select key target markets, and identify unmet customer needs.
- Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.
- Identify, assess, develop, and manage new programs and business opportunities.
- Lead priority growth projects, coordinating efforts across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and application development.
- Develop and implement long-term Business Development strategies for greater market share and profitability.
- Define the value proposition to the market, including service, price, and product platform strategies.
- Identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes, and services.
- Provide vision and direction for a team of professional sales, technical, and customer service resources, managing 8 direct reports.
- Attract, develop, and retain high-potential talent.
- Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of experience, emphasizing sales or business development and people leadership.
- 10+ years of experience in the building products industry.
- Strong experience in strategic leadership.
- Strong experience negotiating large/major contracts.
- Advanced business and financial acumen.
- Experience in planning and forecasting, with practical experience researching new opportunities and implementing successful account penetration.
- Strong background and experience dealing with Distributor Channels in the building products industry and adhesives.
- Ability to champion new business ventures, requiring excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, and strong communication.
- Ability to travel 60% of the time.

- Preference for experience in Adhesives and Flooring.

- Annual compensation range: $175,000 - $200,000.
