Lead and grow a high-performing sales team across the Mid-West, overseeing ten to thirteen sales managers in a dynamic, technical sales environment. This role is central to shaping and executing strategic sales initiatives that align with organizational goals for Residential Metal Roofing (RMR) under Metal Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and manage sales targets that support long-term company objectives and market expansion
- Develop comprehensive annual sales strategies in alignment with RMR’s broader organizational direction
- Direct the implementation of sales policies, methodologies, and CRM tools to ensure consistency and performance tracking
- Coach and develop sales leaders using proven frameworks such as Sales Challenger to improve engagement and close rates
- Collaborate with business development and marketing to refine go-to-market approaches and strengthen positioning in key project segments
- Lead integration efforts for newly acquired operations, ensuring alignment in culture, processes, and performance standards
- Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to recommend strategic adjustments and improve win rates
- Foster a customer-centric sales culture where service excellence is embedded in daily operations
- Coordinate travel across the region—averaging 2–3 overnights weekly—to support team development and client engagement
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with at least 10 years of leadership experience in technical sales environments. Proven success in managing distributed teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering results in a matrixed organization is essential. Experience in construction materials, building products, or industrial sales is highly valued.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to operate remotely. Frequent regional travel—approximately 60% of time—is required to support team and market needs. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, evolving environments and is experienced in managing change associated with mergers and acquisitions.
