Position Overview
A consultancy opportunity is available for a Regional Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Coordinator focused on integrating MNCH services within malaria and neglected tropical disease initiatives in Madagascar. This role supports program implementation across designated regions, emphasizing cross-sector collaboration and health system strengthening.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to regional health teams in aligning MNCH activities with malaria and NTD control strategies
- Facilitate coordination between local health authorities, implementing partners, and national programs
- Support the integration of maternal and child health services into existing malaria interventions
- Monitor program performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
- Contribute to capacity-building efforts for health workers in MNCH and disease-specific protocols
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a relevant advanced degree in public health, medicine, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in maternal and child health programming, familiarity with malaria control efforts, and prior work in low-resource settings are essential.
