Role Overview
This position supports uranium exploration initiatives within the Athabasca Basin, centered on advancing drilling campaigns and geological assessment. Based in Saskatoon, the geologist will work primarily in field settings, leading site operations and ensuring accurate, high-quality data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise exploration drilling activities on-site, overseeing daily operations and progress
- Log, photograph, and sample drill core with attention to identifying high-grade uranium zones
- Manage geological data integrity, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of field and lab results
- Coordinate logistics for drill pad setup, trail access, and rig relocations
- Direct wireline geophysical data collection after drill hole completion
- Support geological and geochemical interpretation and contribute to 3D modeling efforts
- Participate in pre-program planning, including field design, safety protocols, and team training
- Supervise field personnel as needed, providing technical and operational guidance
- Compile geological data for ongoing exploration targeting and reporting
- Prepare regular written updates on field progress and findings for internal review
