About the Role

Shape your future in medical technology through a comprehensive 12-month internship designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world clinical and market applications. This role offers hands-on exposure to structural heart therapies, where you'll gain firsthand experience in Cath Labs and clinics by observing device implantations and patient follow-ups alongside experienced specialists.

Learning & Development

You’ll engage in a structured curriculum combining online and in-person training, regular mentorship sessions, and progress assessments led by dedicated trainers. As part of a European cohort, you’ll collaborate on projects that deepen your understanding of therapy development while building analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Activities

  • Observe Therapy Development Specialists during clinical procedures and field visits
  • Support the creation of analytical tools by shadowing market development teams
  • Contribute to research on health economics and competitive market dynamics
  • Build and maintain databases to strengthen data-driven decision-making
  • Explore innovative approaches to improve processes and outcomes

Who You Are

You're currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Clinical Physiology, Cardiopneumology, or Biomedical Engineering, with graduation expected in 2026. You speak fluent English and Portuguese, hold a valid driver’s license, and are legally eligible to work full-time without future sponsorship. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in team environments where feedback and growth are valued.

This role involves at least 20% travel, including occasional overnight stays and work outside standard hours, reflecting the dynamic nature of clinical and field operations.

Compensation & Work Environment

The position offers a gross monthly salary of 1,200 EUR and is based onsite in Oporto or Coimbra. Work takes place across clinical settings and training environments, with flexibility built into field schedules.
