Trane Technologies is hiring a Regional Inside Sales Specialist for the Light Commercial Unitary Replacement (LCUR) team. You will be responsible for the technical selection and pricing of HVAC equipment, managing projects from initiation to completion, and providing critical estimating support to the sales team.
What You'll Do
- Review site information to develop accurate cost estimates for Trane and competitors' HVAC products.
- Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet contractor installation requirements.
- Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary and final proposals, including equipment submittals.
- Assist Account Managers to determine proposal price, selling strategy, and develop fulfillment schedules.
- Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, and manage complex equipment applications.
- Communicate with customers, building owners, contractors, subcontractors, and field support staff.
- Compare estimated ship dates with the contractor’s project schedule.
- Ensure compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.
- Maintain accuracy of forecasted project costs and monitor project budgets.
- Create and revise project schedules including tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
- Oversee the preparation of material orders, record receipt of materials, and approve payments.
- Enter equipment orders and issue purchase orders for vendor orders.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and implementing corrective action.
- Establish a professional relationship with customers and maintain status reports and project reviews.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business with a minimum of 2 years of project management, HVAC equipment, or related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of project management, HVAC equipment, or related experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedure manuals and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts including probability, statistics, geometry, algebra, and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and operate a computer and telephone.
- Occasionally required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment.

You will be part of the Light Commercial Unitary Replacement (LCUR) team, collaborating closely with account manager(s), other assigned personnel, and suppliers.

- Compensation range: $75,000 to $90,000 annually.
