Umoja Community Education Foundation is seeking a Regional Coordinator for Northern and Southern California to support the implementation and success of our programs across the region. This hybrid position is crucial for building relationships with educational institutions, providing hands-on program support, and fostering the academic journey of students.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with community colleges and other educational institutions in Northern and Southern California
- Identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration with colleges and other organizations
- Provide support and guidance to Umoja Community programs in the region
- Organize and facilitate trainings, workshops, and conferences for educators and staff
- Develop and deliver presentations and educational materials
- Collect and analyze data to assess program impact and inform future development
- Stay informed about current educational trends and best practices
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of Umoja Community programs
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, or a related field
- Experience working in a community college or other educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience organizing and facilitating trainings or workshops
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and typical data analysis tools
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Northern and Southern California
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in education, social sciences, or a related field
- Prior experience working with Umoja Community programs or similar initiatives
- Experience with program evaluation and data analysis
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits paid at 100% for the employee
