Responsibilities
- Establish and sustain connections with community colleges and academic institutions in both Northern and Southern California
- Seek out potential collaborations with colleges and external organizations
- Offer guidance and support to regional program sites
- Plan and lead training sessions, workshops, and conferences for educators and staff
- Create and present educational content and presentations
- Gather and evaluate program data to measure effectiveness and guide future initiatives
- Remain current on emerging trends and effective strategies in education
- Support the long-term development and success of regional programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social sciences, or a relevant discipline
- Professional experience in a community college or educational environment
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships
- Superior communication and presentation abilities
- Proven experience facilitating workshops or training sessions
- Familiarity with current educational practices and trends
- Capacity to work autonomously and engage with diverse groups
- Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis software
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel across the region
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in education, social sciences, or related field
- Prior involvement with Umoja Community programs or similar educational equity initiatives
- Background in program assessment and data interpretation
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
