Indie Campers is looking for a Regional Commercial Principal – APAC to own the complete commercial lifecycle of our RV assets in the region. You will be responsible for procuring vehicles and scaling our used-vehicle sales operations, directly shaping the future of the RV market across Australia, New Zealand, and emerging APAC markets. We are a digital-first company rooted in technology, with a mission to make road trips accessible to everyone.
What You'll Do
- Lead procurement of campervans and motorhomes from OEMs, converters, and dealers across Australia and New Zealand.
- Build long-term partnerships with manufacturers and negotiate purchase agreements, volume discounts, and model exclusivities.
- Evaluate vehicle specifications, conversions, and configurations to align with brand standards, customer trends, and operational needs.
- Monitor supply chains, production timelines, and homologation requirements to ensure optimal fleet delivery.
- Develop and execute the regional strategy for the resale of used vehicles exiting the rental fleet.
- Build and manage B2C and B2B sales channels, including direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and dealer networks.
- Define pricing, margin, and stock-turn KPIs; monitor market benchmarks to maximize resale values.
- Coordinate with Operations to manage vehicle refurbishment, certification, and delivery for resale.
- Support regional asset planning by defining model mix, purchase timing, and sales forecasts based on utilization and depreciation.
- Analyze ROI, cost of ownership, and resale performance to guide future purchasing and disposal decisions.
- Benchmark competitors and market trends to inform strategy and maintain leadership in the campervan segment.
What We're Looking For
- 7-12 years of experience in sales within a multinational auto brand, fleet management company, auto trader, or e-commerce platform.
- Proven negotiation and contract management skills with OEMs, distributors, or large suppliers.
- Solid understanding of vehicle lifecycle economics, including depreciation, resale, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in commercial planning, pricing, or P&L management.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across regions and cultures.
- Entrepreneurial drive: comfortable owning results, making data-driven decisions, and moving fast in a scaling environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
