Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Regional Account Director to join its Market Access team. In this role, you will execute market access strategy across assigned payer accounts to support patient access to Bausch + Lomb pharmaceutical products. Your primary focus will be on Medicare Advantage and Commercial payer environments, with additional responsibility for Medicare Part B and Medicaid access where applicable.
What You'll Do
- Execute market access strategies across assigned regional direct and indirect payer accounts, including Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicare Part B and Medicaid channels.
- Pull through national formulary decisions established by National Account Directors, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation at the account and plan level.
- Identify and pursue access opportunities within regional payer accounts that maintain formulary or coverage discretion.
- Support direct and indirect contracting discussions in alignment with national strategy, partnering with Pricing, Contracting, and Trade.
- Serve as the primary market access partner to the field-based triad of Sales, Field Access Managers (FAMs) & Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), as well as the Patient Services function.
- Translate coverage wins, losses, and changes into clear, field-ready guidance that supports effective customer engagement.
- Proactively manage access challenges, including formulary exclusions, restrictions, or utilization management barriers.
- Function as a subject matter expert in market access and managed care, including Medicare Advantage (MAPD & PDP), Commercial, Medicare Part B, and Medicaid environments.
- Provide education to Sales, FAMs, FRMs, Patient Services, and cross-functional partners on coverage mechanics and formulary design.
- Partner with Medical, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams to support clinical presentations.
- Coordinate with Professional Strategy and, as appropriate, Key Opinion Leaders to support evidence-based payer engagements.
- Collaborate with National Accounts, Pricing, Contracting, Trade, Marketing, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance to ensure aligned and compliant access execution.
- Maintain strong knowledge of healthcare laws, policy, regulations, and ethical standards governing payer interactions.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or payer-facing roles.
- Experience leading, influencing, or developing others through formal people leadership roles or expanded cross-functional leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in market access, managed care, payer account management, reimbursement, field access, sales, or related access-focused roles.
- Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage, and Commercial payer environments; experience with Medicare Part B and Medicaid access models.
- Demonstrated experience engaging payer customers on formulary access, coverage strategy, value positioning, and access execution.
- Proven ability to develop and execute market access pull-through strategies in partnership with field teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex access dynamics into clear, actionable guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and with field-based teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 50 percent.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Science, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience interpreting financial and utilization impacts of access decisions.
- Ophthalmology experience.
- Exposure to payer, PBM, or GPO contracting processes.
- MBA or advanced degree.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $215,000.00 and $235,000.00
- U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
