Role OverviewAs Vice President, Business Development – Global Accounts (EU), you will spearhead the expansion of key client relationships across Europe, working directly with major biopharmaceutical organizations to drive long-term growth. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, you will own the full commercial lifecycle—from initial engagement through contract finalization—while contributing strategically to regional planning and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement tailored account strategies that advance sales, expand the pipeline, and deepen client partnerships
- Lead executive-level interactions, including presentations, site tours, proposal development, and follow-up planning
- Identify and progress new business opportunities, both with existing clients and emerging global players
- Coordinate cross-functionally with technical, legal, finance, and operations teams to support complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Support negotiation of master service agreements, clinical supply contracts, and strategic collaborations
- Translate market intelligence into actionable insights to refine commercial focus and internal decision-making
- Align with global business development leaders to ensure cohesive strategy and shared objectives
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Biology or Chemistry, with over a decade of proven success in business development within the biologics CDMO sector or a closely related industry. Experience managing large-scale pharma clients and navigating intricate commercial deals is essential. Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and fluency in English are required. A master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
