About the Role

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is looking for a Recruitment Specialist to support hiring initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will manage job requisitions and implement recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed job advertisements, descriptions, and hiring criteria.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods based on the role and organizational needs.
  • Assist with job posting and employment advertisement processes.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and oversee preparation of selection materials.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting screening interviews.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager during the offer process, identifying salary ranges, start dates, and other details.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
