Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Recruiter, Stores to drive our talent acquisition efforts for Store Operations. This role is central to our strategic initiative of ‘Developing Talent’ by implementing recruiting best practices to build our leadership pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Present qualified candidates with required competencies for Store Operations management positions, including Managers in Training and Assistant Managers.
- Screen incoming resumes, conduct database searches, and utilize sourcing techniques such as cold calling, social networking, and referrals.
- Conduct initial phone interviews with candidates.
- Consult with hiring managers to provide a qualified pool of candidates.
- Counsel hiring managers on hiring decisions, compensation, and report updates during one-on-one and regional conference calls.
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post requisitions and collect candidate data, including pre-hire documentation and background checks.
- Support other recruiting and staffing efforts, including diversity initiatives.
- Market and represent the company to potential candidates by explaining the culture, mission, values, and career opportunities.
- Assist store management in designing creative and cost-effective methods for recruiting local hourly talent.
- Support training by participating in classes and conducting sessions for Store Leadership on hiring practices.
- Conduct orientation with newly assigned Managers.
- Assist HRBP with analysis and improvement of Onboarding and New Hire Orientation practices.
- Assist HRBP with 30 and 90 day follow-up calls for new hires and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in Regional Quarterly Succession Planning discussions to build a talent pipeline for key positions.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of related recruiting experience.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
