As a Recruiter at Lumos, you’ll play a foundational role in building the team that builds our company. You'll partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand talent needs, drive pipeline, and deliver an unforgettable candidate experience, all while shaping recruiting systems designed to scale in a fast-growing startup.
What You'll Do
- Lead full-cycle recruiting across tech and non-tech roles, from intake to close, including sourcing, screening, coordinating, and candidate communication.
- Serve as a consultative partner to hiring managers to scope roles, align interview panels, and identify opportunities to improve the candidate funnel.
- Source and engage top-tier passive talent through creative outreach and storytelling, delivering ≥50% self-sourced pipeline on priority roles.
- Help standardize recruiting processes with interview kickoffs, debriefs, feedback loops, and improve them over time.
- Deliver a candidate experience that reflects Lumos’ culture: thoughtful, respectful, human, and warm.
- Embed equity into sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes, sourcing from diverse communities and advocating for structured, fair evaluation practices.
What We're Looking For
- 4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience across technical and non-technical roles.
- Experience at a smaller, high-growth company where you wore many hats and helped shape early recruiting processes.
- Comfort with one-off or niche searches and the ability to tailor your approach to each.
- A proactive approach to building candidate pipelines, not waiting for inbound.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with tools like Ashby, Greenhouse .Gem, and ModernLoop.

You will partner closely with hiring managers and the leadership team at Lumos, a company that has grown from 20 to ~100 people and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z).

- Compensation: $135,000 - $185,000
