Reading Ramp is seeking an energetic and passionate Online Reading Specialist to join our team and help children succeed in reading. Using a structured Science of Reading-based curriculum, you will provide engaging, effective, and individualized lessons to K-8 students through 25-minute Zoom sessions, fostering confidence and a love for reading while ensuring measurable progress.
What You'll Do
- Teach students (K-8) using a fun, effective, and easy-to-teach online curriculum
- Create a fun, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
- Maintain regular communication with parents to update them on student performance
- Foster strong relationships with students to ensure their confidence and enthusiasm for reading
- Provide assessments and track student progress regularly
What We're Looking For
- Degree in elementary education and/or reading intervention
- Familiarity with Science of Reading principles
- Ability to connect with and engage children in a virtual setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be energetic, positive, and patient

Benefits & Compensation
- Initially, you must be available Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM Central Time and 4 PM to 8 PM Central Time to make it easy to fill your schedule
- Once you have 20 hours worth of students, you will have more flexibility (according to your students' availability)
- It will take several weeks to fill your schedule, so your hours will take time to build up
- You will be hired as a 1099 independent contractor
Work Mode
Initially fixed hours (7 AM–11 AM and 4 PM–8 PM CT, Mon–Fri); flexibility increases after reaching 20 hours of student sessions.
