Role Overview

As a Mechanical Instructor, you will lead training sessions that blend classroom instruction with hands-on practice, equipping students with essential skills in mechanical systems and related disciplines. Your expertise will directly impact how effectively teams understand and apply critical maintenance concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead instructional sessions for groups ranging from 2 to 25 participants, combining lecture formats with practical exercises
- Deliver clear, technically accurate training in mechanical or electrical maintenance topics
- Travel regularly to training locations as scheduled
- Set up, transport, and manage training equipment weighing up to 90 pounds
- Use Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint for lesson delivery, Excel for tracking, Outlook for communication, and Teams for coordination
- Conduct training in one or more specialized technical areas based on certification and experience
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a strong background in industrial maintenance and a proven ability to teach complex topics effectively.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or in a skilled trades role
- Associate degree, relevant certification, or trade license in a related discipline
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Customer-focused approach with a genuine desire to mentor and guide learners
- Willingness to travel frequently for training assignments
- Physical ability to handle training materials and equipment up to 90 pounds
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering virtual instruction using Zoom or similar platforms

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is based on teaching days at a rate between $475 and $600 per day, with additional stipends possible depending on employment status and experience level. Benefits eligibility begins at hire and includes a company-matched 401K plan. Travel expenses are fully covered by the company.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with a requirement to travel to training sites. You’ll work independently while staying connected through digital tools, supporting a flexible yet accountable work model.
