Lead the China R&D team in Suzhou as the R&D Manager-Specialties, focusing on advancing cable technology through innovation, design optimization, and technical leadership. This role drives product development from concept to realization, ensuring alignment with market demands, cost efficiency, and long-term business objectives.
What You'll Do
Oversee the creation and enhancement of cable products, applying deep technical knowledge to improve performance and reduce costs. Develop and standardize cable design methodologies across the organization, ensuring consistency and innovation. Lead the evolution of the cable design (CA) system and contribute to global standards through participation in technical committees.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, streamline development processes, and deliver effective technical solutions. Translate customer needs into product proposals and support sales with expert guidance on product applications. Resolve complex technical challenges that arise during implementation and provide ongoing support to operations.
Lead medium-term development initiatives by coordinating resources across regions. Foster team growth through mentorship and structured development, building a sustainable R&D capability. Champion sustainability in product design and manufacturing to support broader environmental, social, and governance goals. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all technical activities.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in cable technology, including materials, manufacturing processes, design principles, and cost drivers
- Proven ability to innovate and improve designs for cost reduction and performance gains
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments
