About the Role

Blackbird Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and young adults. In this mission-driven role, you will make a tangible difference by building meaningful therapeutic connections as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on a whole-child approach.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing medication management.
  • Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing education and support.
  • Monitor patient progress against care goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Work closely with therapists and other healthcare professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
  • Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
  • Provide consultation and education to patients and their families.
  • Oversee diagnostic testing including digital and lab results.
  • Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant records of patient meetings and progress.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during peak 'after school hours' (after 4 pm ET weekdays or any time on weekends).
  • Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • PMHNP-BC certification.
  • At least two years of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure.
  • Experience as a PMHNP working with ages 2 and above.
  • Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license.
  • Active DEA license.
  • Active State Prescriptive Authority.
