Careers at Geosyntec is looking for a Proposal and Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compliant, comprehensive, and compelling submittals to win profitable work for our innovative international engineering and consulting firm. You will manage, schedule, edit, and produce proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing materials in accordance with company policies.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of competitive proposal preparation from initial planning through delivery and post-award debriefs.
- Review and hone messages and win themes within written and visual information for client presentations.
- Draft content such as introductions, win themes, proof statements, relevant experience, and project team charts.
- Ensure proposal and statement of qualification criteria and compliance, oversee production, and arrange for on-time deliveries.
- Develop scheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit and proposal elements.
- Develop systems to extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to markets, clients, personnel, and projects.
- Track business development opportunities via a Client Relationship Management system.
- Assist technical and marketing leads with research related to prior pursuits and potential client projects.
- Oversee staff in managing routine marketing collateral, schedules, and updating resumes and project descriptions.
- Develop branded presentations with targeted messaging and approve news announcements.
- Work closely with Branch teams to develop plans aligned with the company’s Strategic Plan.
- Conduct targeted market research to understand target audiences, drivers, competitors, and opportunities.
- Identify marketing candidates for both office and local-regional needs.
- Manage awards competition entries and ensure compliance with award requirements.
- Analyze research data related to clients, competitors, and markets and present findings to leadership.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations with six (6) years of progressive professional experience in engineering, architecture, or commercial construction, OR ten (10) years of directly related experience, OR any equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated writing skills, including the ability to think critically and analytically about document purpose and content improvement.
- Formatting, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Windows proficiency including MS Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and typing ability.
- Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Illustrator and some graphic design experience.

- Compensation varies by location: $99,070 to $116,550/year for Acton, MA and Bloomfield, NJ; $94,760 to $111,485/year for Pennington, NJ.
