We're seeking a skilled Icelandic Language Specialist to support the development of advanced AI language systems. In this remote contractor role, you'll use your linguistic expertise to evaluate and enhance AI-generated Icelandic text, ensuring it meets high standards of accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.
What You'll Do
- Review and annotate Icelandic language content produced by AI models
- Assess outputs for grammatical correctness, clarity, and natural expression
- Identify recurring errors and document patterns to support model improvements
- Collaborate with team members to refine prompting strategies and evaluation criteria
- Help shape and update linguistic guidelines based on real-world usage
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native fluency in Icelandic
- Professional experience in translation, editing, language instruction, or linguistics
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in evaluation
- Familiarity with Icelandic cultural context and idiomatic usage
- Clear written communication skills in English or Icelandic
Preferred Background
- Experience with linguistic annotation, language coaching, or AI training projects
