J.S. Held LLC is offering a Project Support Services Internship designed for current architecture students or recent graduates. Supervised by a registered architect, this role qualifies for NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP) hours. You will collaborate with a team of experts to analyze project data and provide client service, focusing on developing marketing materials and documenting project experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop standard documents to support future proposal development and presentations.
- Update Project Experience pages to align with the new corporate standard.
- Participate in at least one actual proposal development process for a new project pursuit.
- Analyze existing Project Experience Pages against the new standard to identify gaps in information.
- Research required data, information, and stories through project files, online research, and interviewing team members to update Project Experience Pages.
- Collaborate with project managers to collect and refine quantitative and qualitative data into easily readable content for one-page Project Experience Pages, including developing copy and graphics.
- Track and report on Project Experience Page progress weekly to your supervisor via a 30-minute virtual meeting and a written update.
- Provide graphic support for other projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or an Engineering discipline (e.g., Structural, Civil, Electrical, MEP).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are preferred.
- 0-4 years of experience with engineering or construction firms, or a construction claim/dispute firm.
- Excellent communication, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Strong investigating, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with marketing software and online applications (e.g., Adobe, InDesign, Word).
- Willingness to seek and understand data/information/stories and transform them into content for marketing materials.
- Ability to find creative ways to tell an overall project story in a one-page format.
- A collaborative, team-oriented, and self-motivated work style.
- Ability to work in person in our Indianapolis, IN office on a hybrid schedule.
