GNC Holdings LLC is looking for a Project Manager, Technology Finance to act as the crucial link between technology portfolio management and finance. You will be responsible for financial planning, governance, and reporting for our technology initiatives, ensuring investments are executed within approved budgets and deliver clear business value.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage monthly and quarterly technology portfolio reporting, including budget versus actuals, forecasts, run versus change analyses, and key variance drivers.
- Partner with Technology leaders to translate strategic roadmaps into actionable funding plans and rolling forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and clean portfolio financials across all categories, including labor, vendor spend, cloud costs, and project allocations.
- Support investment intake and prioritization processes by producing comparable cost/benefit analyses, scenarios, and tradeoff options.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by providing crisp analysis on investment value, risks, and expected payback.
- Maintain program-level financial controls, including purchase order tracking, accrual coordination, invoice validation, and vendor burn rate management.
- Coordinate with Procurement and vendor partners to improve transparency in statements of work, milestone payments, and change orders.
- Partner with Cloud/Infrastructure and Engineering teams to support forecasting and understand cost drivers for cloud workloads.
- Help evolve financial controls and reporting practices from reactive cost management to proactive cost planning.
- Become a power user of our finance and portfolio management tooling.
- Drive process improvements that reduce manual effort, enhance auditability, and increase confidence in financial data.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification such as PMP/PMI and experience with Agile finance methodologies.
- 5–8+ years in a role that combines technology portfolio or program management with finance, such as Technology Finance, IT PMO Finance, or Corporate FP&A supporting Technology.
- Demonstrated experience owning budgets and forecasts for complex portfolios involving multiple programs, vendors, and workstreams.
- A strong command of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial controls.
- Comfort building ROI analyses and business cases for technology investments.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, PowerQuery (preferred), complex formulas, scenario modeling, and designing clean financial workbooks.
- The ability to synthesize disparate or messy data inputs into clear, executive-ready reports and summaries.
- An understanding of how modern technology portfolios are structured, including product/platform roadmaps, agile delivery, cloud programs, and data and security initiatives.
- Familiarity with portfolio management and financial software tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a retail, ecommerce, consumer, or omnichannel environment where digital roadmaps and vendor ecosystems are large-scale and fast-moving.
Team & Environment
You will partner closely with Technology leaders, Procurement, and Corporate Finance teams to ensure alignment and effective financial management across the organization.
