OPG is hiring a Project & Control Engineer/Officer

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance the Front-End Planning Process through coordination and facilitation.
  • Assist business units in creating, updating, and managing project cost baselines and budgets in partnership with project managers and finance teams; manage project costs per organizational governance and support financial closeout activities.
  • Work with project managers to analyze variances and revise project plans and budgets to sustain financial oversight.
  • Configure source systems such as AS9, EcoSys, ePMX, and P6 as needed, ensuring integration with project control systems and maintaining consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create detailed project schedules or oversee scheduling efforts to track timelines, set performance baselines, monitor progress, and consolidate into overarching program timelines.
  • Support and deliver reporting across organizational levels for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the reporting of project metrics and variance analysis, identifying deviations from approved budgets or schedules and recommending corrective actions; prepare and secure approvals for change control documentation.
  • Keep comprehensive project documentation to ensure an auditable record of approvals, changes, and closeout activities.
