Arch is offering a 10-week summer internship for a Programs Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. Based in Toronto, this role provides the opportunity to split time between the underwriting and program management teams, performing analytical, administrative, and data-focused tasks. What You'll Do
- Split time between the underwriting team and program management team.
- Administer policy decks and handle endorsements (coding).
- Support internal and partner audits as required.
- Pull, validate, and upload data from multiple sources into software.
- Contribute to rate and loss analytics by analyzing performance trends.
- Conduct segmentation studies, identify portfolio commonalities, and present findings.
- Verify data in Bordereaux underwriting software.
- Issue policies and create raters for the underwriting team.
- Assist team with data validation projects, completing research or identifying qualifying data.
- Perform CAT modeling and analysis.
- Analyze loss trends and contribute to data production.
- Support special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Actively completing an area of study in Arts, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Insurance, or a related program.
- Coursework completion and grades in good standing.
- Completing a full-time degree at an accredited University or College, preferably at a Canadian University.
- College level – current Junior or Senior at a Canadian University.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel.
- Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
- Team player who collaborates effectively.
- Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Power BI experience strongly preferred.
- Prior audit internship experience a plus.
- Experience and understanding of completing reconciliations or audits a plus.
- Interest and experience in insurance industry preferred.

Benefits & Compensation
- Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
- Compensation: $30-35 CAD per hour.
