Company is seeking a Professional Liability/Cyber Underwriting Summer Intern for a dynamic 10-week program. This role offers immersion in the underwriting process for specialized insurance lines, providing hands-on experience alongside industry talent. You'll develop professional skills through challenging learning experiences within a culture built on collaboration, expertise, and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the underwriting process by reviewing account submissions, applications, and client websites.
- Assist in preparing underwriting referrals and shadow underwriting calls to gain exposure to decision-making processes.
- Run and analyze loss run reports to support risk assessment and account evaluation.
- Review pipeline activity and organize files to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to team marketing efforts by engaging with brokers and supporting outreach initiatives.
- Present data on submission and quote metrics to help track performance and identify trends.
What We're Looking For
- Actively completing a degree in Arts, Finance, Commerce, Business, Cybersecurity, Insurance, or a related program with coursework in good standing.
- Completing a full-time degree at an accredited University or College, preferably at a Canadian University.
- College level – current Junior or Senior at a Canadian University.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
- Team player who collaborates effectively.
- Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits & Compensation

- Compensation: $30-35 CAD per hour.
