Genzyme Corporation is hiring an Area Business Manager - Allergy to engage Allergists and key customers in the Indianapolis, IN territory. You will create and grow revenue by delivering clinically focused selling messages for atopic dermatitis and asthma indications, driving performance with integrity.
What You'll Do
- Engage Allergy/Immunology customers within your assigned geographical territory to introduce, launch, and grow brand-share and revenue.
- Collaborate with field-based stakeholders including Regeneron Sales Professional counterparts, Medical Science Liaisons, and Field Reimbursement teammates.
- Develop strong relationships with Allergy experts, biologic coordinators, office staff, and key patient advocacy groups.
- Drive results by identifying key opportunities and developing strategic business plans to generate product utilization.
- Plan, organize, and execute local promotional speaker programs and activities.
- Maximize budget allocated to your geographic territory to support strategy execution.
- Participate in initiatives to support sales success, such as industry congresses and medical conferences.
- Own business opportunities within your geographic area, including coordination with large group practices.
- Establish relationships with thought leaders to drive industry-leading customer value.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
- Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as necessary.
- Proven success and a positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets.
- Ability to operate as a 'team player' in cooperation with collaboration partners and internal colleagues.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable (or office administered IV) biologics.
- 2+ years selling experience in Asthma or other Immunology disorders.
- 2+ years selling experience calling on Allergists.
- Co-promotion experience.
- Advanced clinically-based selling skills.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches.
- Experience with in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Passion and learning aptitude for science related to disease-state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Highly organized with strong account management skills.
