Stuntzner Engineering and Forestry is hiring a Professional Land Surveyor to lead the next phase of growth for our Survey Department based in Coos Bay. You will take ownership of project delivery, supervising teams and preparing accurate mapping and computations for a diverse client base.
What You'll Do
- Supervise survey field crews and office technicians for the Coos Bay office, either in person or remotely.
- Prepare mapping and computations for cadastral/boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
- Perform land survey work for public and private clients accurately, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Prepare cost estimates and write project proposals.
- Work adjacent to and collaborate with our forestry and planning departments.
- Leverage the skills and experience of other survey professionals in our satellite offices.
What We're Looking For
- Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Oregon.
- If licensed in another state, ability to obtain an Oregon license within a 6-month probationary period.
- Knowledgeable in all phases of land surveying and map preparation.
- Proficient with survey instruments including Trimble GNSS, total stations, and levels.
- Proficient with industry software including TDS, AutoCAD, and/or Carlson Survey.
- Adept at proposal writing, project estimating, and negotiation skills.
- Five-plus years of practical field experience leading crews.

You will lead the Coos Bay Survey Department and collaborate closely with our forestry and planning departments, as well as with survey professionals in our satellite offices.

Work Mode
