Trane Technologies is seeking a Production Planner in Columbia, SC to manage the production schedule for a selected product group. You will serve as the single point of contact for all customer accounts, managing the full order life cycle to ensure timely processing and collaborating with functional teams to meet customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Establish production manufacturing priorities for customer demand based on master scheduling, inventory goals, and service levels.
- Perform order entry for a configure-to-order business model and complete order closure and invoicing upon shipment.
- Reconcile all order discrepancies and order changes.
- Communicate with customers, sales, engineering, purchasing, operations, and marketing to ensure priorities are met using common processes and systems.
- Assist in developing weekly and monthly metrics, including on-time shipment percentage, productivity, shipment goals, past due backlog, and assembly production.
- Escalate complex issues to the next support level, providing full documentation.
- Establish and communicate revised production schedules based on weekly PSI meetings.
- Manage planning, rescheduling, and invoicing for rejected and rework product orders.
- Coordinate manufacturing activities and monitor schedule performance against the plan.
- Participate in customer service projects such as Strategy A3, Projects & MDI.
- Assist in developing process improvements and supporting continuous learning.
- Attend and host daily standup meetings in production environments.
- Host production coordination meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Master Scheduler.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or customer service.
- Experience with production scheduling.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Oracle/ERP systems.
- APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Advanced Excel skills.

- Base Pay Range: $72,000 - $96,000
