EMD Serono is seeking a Product Engineer for Slurry Materials to join our Silica Business Unit. You will be part of an international team of engineers and process experts producing advanced products for semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. In this role, you will leverage your technical background to collaborate with external customers, act as a technical product steward, and drive internal process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Strive to understand customer issues, identify solutions, coordinate internal efforts to resolve them, and support business expansion.
- Act as a technical product steward to identify high-leverage continuous improvement opportunities for our products.
- Manage change control, organize projects, lead technical investigations, and help shepherd new product qualification with customers.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience as a process engineer in a high-tech or specialty chemical manufacturing environment.
- Able to lead short and long-term multi-faceted technical projects.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to learn and work with limited supervision.
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset, able to excel in a multi-disciplinary team-based environment.
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role or with supplier management and communication.
- Fluency in French and English.
Nice to Have
- German language proficiency.
