Parsons Transportation Group is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to provide technical leadership and project management for process engineering on capital projects and engineering services for wastewater treatment facilities. You will work with cross-functional teams on water and wastewater engineering capital projects, primarily in Southern California.
What You'll Do
- Provide process engineering services on client projects, mainly in Southern California, with potential travel to other parts of the state.
- Plan and execute projects, including defining project approach, resource needs, options analysis, process and equipment design, and engineering document development.
- Provide design expertise for conventional and advanced wastewater treatment systems, including membrane, biosolids, odor control, pumping, and blower systems.
- Make presentations and updates to senior management and in broader internal and external forums.
- Contribute to the success of projects and the achievement of both technical and organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental or Chemical Engineering or a related degree.
- 7+ years of experience in the water and wastewater industry involving process design, performance analysis, or process engineering services.
- Experience with municipal wastewater systems is essential.
- Solid knowledge of process technology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art industry practices and regulations.
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity.
Nice to Have
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
