About the Role

Alstom is hiring a Principal Mechanical Integration Engineer (MIT MLE) to play a key role in the design and validation of innovative solutions for our railway projects. You will contribute directly to mechanical integration, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments are met.

What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain Space Allocation Models (SAM) following progressive maturity rules.
  • Develop detailed 3D and 2D designs of internal parts, considering allocated volumes, interfaces, manufacturability, and maintainability.
  • Generate assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for industrialization.
  • Plan and drive mechanical integration activities and deliverables according to schedule objectives and customer requirements.
  • Prepare and document Design Reviews (DRCL) and track open actions.
  • Perform stack-up calculations and contribute to the quality of the digital mock-up.
  • Support sourcing, industrialization, and manufacturing teams during ramp-up.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement of the domain and establish certification and validation plans for the technical scope.

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering degree in mechanics (Master's) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering applied to railway products or a similar field.
  • Operational skills in English (reading/writing and technical meetings).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including with customers.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a structured and organized manner.
  • Customer and product orientation, with strong team spirit and a hands-on approach.
