About the Role

Alstom is looking for a Principal Mechanical Integration Engineer to lead mechanical integration activities for our train platforms. As a caring, responsible, and innovative company, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all.

What You'll Do

  • Lead development and integration activities for mechanical installations.
  • Manage design requirements and ensure their compliance for validation and certification.
  • Drive the definition of interfaces, space allocation, and installation part design.
  • Supervise design teams and foster collaboration.
  • Support first train assembly reviews and production phases.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the domain.

What We're Looking For

  • BSc/MSc degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of mechanical engineering applied to railway products.
  • Knowledge of design requirements, validation, and certification processes.
  • Familiarity with interface definition, space allocation, and installation part design.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Membership with OIQ (Quebec Order of Engineers).
  • Knowledge of a language other than French.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the company, including design engineers, CAD designers, and suppliers. You will supervise a design team composed of MDEs, CAD designers, and potentially other MLEs.

This is an onsite role located in St-Bruno (QC), Canada.
