About the Role

Alstom is looking for a Principal Mechanical Integration Engineer to lead mechanical integration for our railway projects. In this role, you will be responsible for space allocation models, detailed 3D/2D design, and technical coordination to ensure quality, cost, and delivery commitments are met while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

  • Create and maintain space allocation models (SAM) following progressive maturity rules.
  • Develop detailed 3D and 2D designs for internal parts, considering allocated volumes, interfaces, manufacturability, and maintainability.
  • Generate assembly drawings and bill of materials (BOM) for industrialization.
  • Plan and drive mechanical integration activities and deliverables according to schedule objectives and customer requirements.
  • Prepare and document design reviews (DRCL) and track open actions.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up calculations and contribute to the quality of the digital mock-up.
  • Support sourcing, industrialization, and manufacturing teams during ramp-up.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement of the domain and establish certification and validation plans for the technical scope.

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering (Master's) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering applied to railway products or a similar field.
  • Operational skills in English (reading/writing and technical meetings).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including with customers.
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a structured and organized manner.
  • Customer and product orientation, with strong team spirit and a hands-on approach.
