Claros Technologies is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join our mission-driven team. You will be responsible for designing electrical panels, schematics, and cable layouts, and developing, improving, and diagnosing PLC programs and HMIs to support our PFAS destruction technology.
What You'll Do
- Develop control system layout and wiring schematic drawings in AutoCAD or equivalent software
- Develop HMI and PLC programs for support skids with pumps, actuated valves, and instrumentation
- Work closely with vendors to specify components and project manage electrical panel providers
- Configure, load, and debug HMI and PLC software
- Assist in pre-power up checks and start-up routines
- Investigate and resolve issues related to the electrical and controls package
- Crosstrain team members on basic configuration and troubleshooting tasks
- Provide remote assistance and/or field support during pilots and system commissioning
- Lead and assist control improvement projects for performance, optimization, safety, and reliability

- Bachelor’s degree with applicable experience will be considered
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and UL508A for industrial control panels
- IEC electrical knowledge
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Proficiency in IEC programming language and 61131 standards
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley programming software
- Proficiency in CAD and/or Circuit Design Software
