We are hiring a Senior Advanced Process Engineer to provide critical technical direction and support to our manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on standardizing processes by product line, reducing costs, and advancing process and product technology.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical direction and support to manufacturing facilities.
- Facilitate the standardization of processes by product line, including developing and maintaining standards for equipment specification, procurement, and cost estimating.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, finance, purchasing, and cost estimating.
- Work with manufacturing facilities to reduce costs, improve quality, and achieve advancements in process and product technology.
- Lead the search and implementation of new or improved equipment, tooling, and processes to satisfy changing production requirements.
- Work with outside machinery suppliers, machine shops, plant engineering, and maintenance.
- Assist in the validation of new processes as necessary.
- May obtain or negotiate approval or revisions to customer product specifications.
- Initiate projects and tasks through creative insight, leveraging manufacturing and product knowledge.
- Confirm feasibility and capability of proposed product and process improvements using statistical methods.
- Assist in the transfer of products and process between manufacturing facilities for assigned technologies.
- Act as communicative link between technical and manufacturing sites, including other global regions, for process development, best practice exchange, and standardization.
- Keep current on developments related to manufacturing and product technology through meetings with suppliers, customers, trade publications, and other sources.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position.
- 5 years of technical experience in forming double wall braze tubing.
- 5 years of experience in the flow of brazing process, including furnace brazing, conductive and inductive brazing processes.
- 4 years of experience with the eddy current testing process.
- 5 years of experience with the copper plating process.
- 5 years of experience in Metallurgy specific to the brazing process in lieu of copper plated steel and forming process.
- 5 years of experience designing double wall forming process tooling.
- 5 years of experience troubleshooting double wall forming process in respect to tooling, brazing, defect detection, etc.
- 4 years of experience with inert gas mixed with Hydrogen and their relationship to brazing molten copper without causing liquid metal embrittlement.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with sales, engineering, finance, purchasing, cost estimating, plant engineering, maintenance, and outside suppliers.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary of $114,442.00.
