Join a growing team in the defense and aerospace sector as a Pricing Analyst, where you'll play a key role in shaping competitive proposals through data-driven cost and pricing strategies. You'll work closely with proposal, finance, contracts, and technical teams to analyze customer requirements, evaluate market conditions, and build reliable pricing models that align with business goals and federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review government solicitations and collaborate with proposal teams to define labor categories, rates, and cost structures.
- Develop and validate detailed cost estimates, including Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Cost/Price Volumes, and Certified Cost or Pricing Data submissions.
- Analyze historical performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence to refine pricing approaches and improve win probability.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data requirements across all proposal deliverables.
- Lead cost-related discussions during proposal meetings, coordinating inputs from finance, contracts, and subject matter experts.
- Build and maintain scalable pricing models and templates tailored to various contract types, including FFP, T&M, and CP.
- Support negotiations by preparing cash flow projections, pricing justifications, and risk assessments for internal and government review.
- Interface with DCAA and DCMA auditors to provide documentation and defend pricing positions during reviews.
- Stay current on regulatory changes, contract award trends, and industry developments to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing assumptions, methodologies, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, along with 2–4 years of pricing or cost analysis experience in the defense sector. US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Proficiency with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or Oracle is essential. Experience with ProPricer, government financial regulations, and milestone-based payment structures is highly valued. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines independently are critical to success.
