About the Role

Work as a part-time Rehab Aide in a pediatric outpatient environment dedicated to children and young adults aged 0 to 21. You will support occupational and physical therapists by preparing treatment areas, managing equipment, and assisting with non-clinical aspects of patient care. Your responsibilities include maintaining clean and organized therapy spaces, tracking supply levels, and ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and stored according to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, including routine cleaning of toys, tools, and therapy equipment
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to support daily operations
  • Assist therapists with equipment setup, patient transport, and treatment logistics
  • Answer phone calls professionally, take accurate messages, and direct communication to appropriate staff
  • Support a child-friendly atmosphere by maintaining seasonal decor in waiting and treatment areas
  • Perform basic equipment adjustments and maintenance on devices such as walkers, standers, and wheelchairs
  • Help triage patient arrivals and notify therapists promptly
  • Complete assigned projects and contribute to departmental goals

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory. Prior experience in a rehabilitation or therapy setting—preferably one year—is preferred but not required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and willing to learn new skills related to pediatric care and equipment handling.

Work Environment

This is an onsite, part-time position with scheduling priorities during morning hours and from 3–6 PM, Monday through Thursday. The role supports peak patient flow times and contributes to a culture grounded in compassion, accountability, and evidence-based care. The setting emphasizes learning, innovation, and teamwork, with opportunities for growth and skill development.
