BT is looking for a Power Manager to join a specialist security team that is a trusted partner to governments worldwide. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of new power and cooling solutions into projects, maintaining and delivering solutions to enable Operations, and managing escalations and project delivery. This role requires DV security clearance and is based in Manchester, working onsite 5 days a week.
What You'll Do
- Ensure all new power and cooling solutions are seamlessly integrated into projects.
- Maintain and deliver solutions to enable Operations.
- Utilise the range of expert skills from both BT engineers and other BT staff for successful project delivery.
- Engage with key customers and improve customer experience by delivering repair, provision and service availability performance.
- Manage escalations and work allocation whilst co-ordinating project delivery.
- Take ownership of requests for new projects and platform works from proposal generation and design concept through transition to in-life service operations.
- Help develop and support the pipeline of new projects and understand the impact on the workforce.
What We're Looking For
- Be a fully qualified electrician to 18th Edition C & G 2382.
- A working knowledge of HEVACOMP & CAS system.
- Ability to read, follow, and produce detailed electrical schematic drawings.
- Clerk of Works experience and proved ability of delivering construction projects.
- Experience of design, planning and installation of D.C power plant systems and power & cooling systems.
- Experience of BMS (Trend) and Environmental control systems (Scada).
- Be HV trained – AP or CP.
- Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain DV Security Clearance.
Nice to Have
- Good working knowledge of generators, controls, air conditioning systems, sizing, airflow etc.
- Knowledge of UPS systems and LV and HV systems.
