The Neuromuscular Account Manager plays a key role in advancing patient access to a novel therapy for rare neuromuscular diseases within a defined territory. Operating in a field-based capacity, this professional is responsible for executing targeted account strategies that support the successful introduction and adoption of BBP-418, ensuring alignment with both clinical needs and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive account plans to meet or exceed sales targets, using data-driven insights to guide outreach and engagement
- Engage healthcare providers with clinically informed discussions, using approved resources to communicate the science behind the therapy
- Analyze territory performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies in response to market dynamics
- Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders, treatment center staff, and multidisciplinary teams involved in neuromuscular care
- Collaborate with internal partners, including medical affairs, reimbursement specialists, and patient support services, to deliver coordinated support to accounts
- Navigate electronic medical record systems and formulary processes to support product access and integration into clinical pathways
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in product science, competitive landscape, and disease state to provide meaningful value in every interaction
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards, company policies, and ethical guidelines
- Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity, serving as a trusted point of contact for clinical and business stakeholders
- Plan and manage time efficiently to maximize field coverage and customer engagement
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least eight years of proven performance in the pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated strengths in strategic planning, analytics, and relationship-building are essential. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment, leads with accountability, and influences effectively across teams and without direct authority. Strong communication skills and fluency with digital engagement tools are required. Prior experience in rare diseases or neurology—particularly with product or indication launches—is highly valued. An MBA may enhance candidacy but is not required. Willingness and ability to travel frequently is expected.
