HireHawk is hiring a Plaintiff-Side Paralegal to join a sophisticated class action law firm. In this remote role, you will handle substantive legal work including research, drafting, and case management to support all phases of litigation from complaint filing through discovery.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to identify relevant precedent and support active class action litigation
- Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery documents using firm templates while adapting prior pleadings to new matters
- Manage litigation deadlines, court calendars, and organize case files to maintain efficient document management systems
- Review and summarize discovery materials, deposition transcripts, and support factual investigations including records gathering
- Prepare legal correspondence, notices, and court filings for both state and federal jurisdictions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, specifically in plaintiff-side or class action legal work
- Proven expertise in legal research methodologies, with specific focus on statutes, regulations, and case law analysis
- Documented experience drafting complex legal documents including complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses
- Specialized experience in employment law or consumer law litigation
- Verifiable experience working in California-specific legal contexts
- Advanced written communication skills suitable for legal documentation
- Proficient in independently managing remote work environments and litigation workflows
- Ability to efficiently adapt and utilize existing legal templates and prior pleadings
- Proven skills in case management, deadline tracking, and electronic document organization
