Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide full-time remote patient care as part of its expanding telehealth team. You will deliver high-quality physical therapy services with a focus on orthopedics, adhering to clinical standards and acting as a role model for departmental excellence.
What You'll Do
- Assume complete responsibility for patient management from initial contact through discharge.
- Maintain primary responsibility over patient plans of care through timely collaboration with treating PTs and PTAs.
- Demonstrate essential skill competencies in selecting appropriate evaluations and treatment modalities.
- Adhere to department policy regarding evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries documented in the EMR.
- Complete daily notes reflecting patient response to treatment and meeting all documentation requirements.
- Provide educational materials appropriate to the patient’s level of understanding.
- Demonstrate creative problem solving when adapting treatment to special circumstances.
- Demonstrate teamwork by helping co-workers within and across departments.
- Contribute to opportunities and processes for continuous departmental improvement.
- Participate in committees, department processes, and special projects.
- Contribute to the educational efforts of the department.
- Actively participate in student clinical or observation programs.
- Maintain productivity standards per department expectations.
- Proactively complete non-patient care responsibilities within established timelines.
- Manage work schedule efficiently, completing tasks and assignments on time.
- Demonstrate willingness to flex schedule or assignment to meet patient care needs.
- Use effective service recovery skills to solve problems.
- Provide accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Illinois.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Nice to Have
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Previous experience with synchronous and asynchronous digital therapy care delivery.
- Strong clinical skills in orthopedics.
- Experience with vestibular and gait/balance disorders or other subspecialty clinical skills.
