About the Role

This Pharmacist position at Salem Hospital plays a central role in the safe and effective use of medications across the facility. The individual will manage the full lifecycle of pharmaceuticals, from procurement to distribution and ongoing control, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and institutional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the secure and efficient handling of medications throughout the medical center
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date drug information to healthcare providers and patients
  • Monitor medication use to promote safety, efficacy, and compliance
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support integrated patient care
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists, guiding their development and daily tasks
  • Support continuous improvement of pharmacy operations and adherence to quality standards

Qualifications

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited pharmacy program and hold current licensure as a Pharmacist in Massachusetts. Strong analytical abilities, precision in task execution, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities are essential. Proficiency with digital systems and excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.

Preferred applicants will have at least two years of clinical pharmacy experience. New graduates must have accumulated two years of equivalent experience as a pharmacy intern in a clinical setting.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role located at 81 Highland Avenue, with rotating schedules to support hospital operations. The environment values precision, collaboration, and continuous learning, with structured support for professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
