About the Role

Vanta is hiring a People Systems and Operations Associate to strengthen our People team infrastructure. You will play an important role in driving People programs by supporting HR systems configuration, maintenance, and improvement, serving as a go-to expert and a resource for employees.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a resource to employees through our ticketing system — answering questions and resolving issues related to HR systems, data updates, benefits, and process flows.
  • Support maintenance of our core HR systems (e.g., HRIS, performance platforms, benefits admin portals, onboarding tools).
  • Support the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee data.
  • Help build and maintain automated reports and dashboards to surface insights for stakeholders across People, Finance, and other teams.
  • Assist in identifying manual processes and proactively build scalable solutions using automation and integrations across tools.
  • Support company-wide People programs (performance reviews, engagement surveys, onboarding, benefits administration) through effective systems design, setup, and documentation.
  • Help ensure system configurations and data meet compliance requirements (e.g., I-9s, 401k audits, employment verifications). Support audit data pulls and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong interest in HR systems, data, and operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of data integrity.
  • Interest in building scalable systems and automating repetitive processes using tools and integrations.
  • Comfortable managing sensitive data with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, operational rigor, and project management chops.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication — able to collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency with G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, and general aptitude for learning new software quickly.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in People Ops or similar (such as Recruiting Ops) at a high growth environment.
  • Prior experience working in HRIS or related systems (e.g., HiBob, Workday, Ashby, Culture Amp, etc.).
  • Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a People team including a Manager, People Operations, another People Operations Associate, and two People Ops Generalists. The role reports into the Manager, People Operations and works closely with cross functional partners.

This is a remote position open to candidates in SF, NYC, London, Dublin, and Sydney.
