Take full ownership of compliance execution from the moment a customer agreement is finalized. Your primary responsibility is to deliver on promised tax registrations and nexus setups across more than 50 U.S. states and various international regions, ensuring every step is completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Process 'ready-to-file' packages from Implementation Managers and manage them through to final registration, coordinating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establish and maintain access to government tax portals, securely managing login credentials and required documentation with meticulous organization.
- Monitor registration progress proactively, following up with agencies to resolve delays or missing information.
- Review and triage incoming official correspondence from tax authorities, identifying urgent matters and ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Keep internal records synchronized with client commitments, serving as the definitive reference for all registration statuses and access points.
- Analyze recurring discrepancies between sales commitments and regulatory requirements, contributing insights to improve internal processes and increase accuracy over time.
Qualifications
You bring 1–3 years of experience in operations, compliance, or administrative functions, with a strong track record of precision and follow-through. You read complex legal and tax documentation comfortably and communicate clearly with team members based in the U.S.
Success in this role requires sharp attention to detail, the ability to learn and navigate a wide range of government websites—many of which are outdated—and a proactive mindset to track down updates and close every loop. Experience in U.S. sales tax, regulatory compliance, or back-office operations within fintech, SaaS, or e-commerce environments is highly valued.
Familiarity with tools like Slack, Notion, Airtable, or Ashby is an advantage. Even more so if you've helped design or refine operational workflows from the ground up.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in El Salvador, offering flexibility between remote work and in-person collaboration at the local office. You’ll work closely with a U.S.-based tech team, gaining direct exposure to the mechanics of e-commerce compliance at scale.
You’ll have the chance to shape processes, not just follow them—contributing directly to the evolution of the registration system while ensuring customers remain compliant and confident in the service delivered.
