Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing and refining the full lifecycle of employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience from day one. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate, audit-ready People data within Workday, supporting critical transactions such as role changes, compensation updates, and offboarding. As the company scales, you’ll identify opportunities to streamline workflows and build sustainable processes across core People Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end onboarding operations, including orientation logistics, documentation compliance, IT provisioning, and welcome communications
- Partner with internal teams across Finance, Legal, IT, and Recruiting to execute coordinated People initiatives
- Ensure data integrity in Workday through timely updates, audits, and proactive issue resolution
- Design and implement improvements to onboarding, offboarding, and employee support workflows
- Support compliance readiness by maintaining accurate records and contributing to audit preparation
- Develop reports and dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders to inform operational decisions
- Enhance the People Ops helpdesk by resolving employee inquiries and identifying patterns to improve self-service tools
- Lead targeted projects that elevate the employee experience and operational effectiveness
- Share knowledge and best practices to strengthen People Operations across the organization
Qualifications
You bring 3–5+ years of experience in HR or People Operations, ideally within a high-growth company. You're proficient with Workday and skilled at managing complex data transactions and reporting. You’re familiar with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Culture Amp, Navan, and Notion or Slab, and you adapt quickly to new platforms. You think systematically, prioritize details, and manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is a genuine commitment to creating a positive experience for every employee. This role requires on-site presence in San Francisco.
