Saama Technologies Inc is hiring an Interim Associate Editorial Director for People Inc. Careers at The Spruce. In this temporary role, you will help lead the home editorial vision and operations. You will oversee freelance writers, lead projects, support revenue goals, and increase engagement, reporting directly to the Senior Editorial & Strategy Director.

What You'll Do

• Write new content based on past top performers, pitch story ideas, and edit and publish content from freelance writers.
• Manage execution of editorial initiatives and special projects to meet goals and create an optimal editorial experience for readers.
• Work with editorial leaders to guide the creation of on-brand, cross-platform content that is digitally-performant and addresses audience growth goals.
• Collaborate with partners to help produce best-in-class content for sales and marketing collaborations.
• Clearly communicate team priorities as they evolve and remove barriers to productivity so staff members can adjust their work to meet changing goals.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience.
• 5+ years of experience writing, editing, and curating digital content for a large digital publisher.
• 2+ years in a managerial position.
• Self-driven; high degree of collaboration, organization, and positivity; ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
• Able to meet strict deadlines and prioritize accordingly. Very organized.
• Proficient in using CMS and editorial production tools.
• Experience with SEO Research tools like AhRefs, Google Trends and other data insights.
• Experience with analytics tools, such as Looker, Google Analytics.
• Experience with digital content workflow tools, such as AirTable.

• A strong passion for home content.
• Experience in home or lifestyle content.

Team & Environment

Work with a team of editors and partner with other teams including marketing, email, design, growth, video, social strategy, commerce, sales, PR. You will report to the Senior Editorial & Strategy Director.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role. You can work remotely from anywhere in the US or from the NYC People Inc. Office.
