Darkroom is hiring an Associate Director, Paid Search & AI LLM Ads to develop and scale sophisticated paid search and AI advertising strategies for our portfolio of high-growth consumer brands. This performance-driven role owns creative strategy, campaign builds, optimization, and reporting for a collection of accounts with substantial monthly ad spend.
What You'll Do
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive paid media strategies focused exclusively on Paid Search to increase brand visibility and drive new user acquisition and leads.
- Conduct thorough brand and website audits to understand client value propositions and identify marketing opportunities.
- Develop innovative paid search strategies that blend traditional search, YouTube, and emerging AI search platforms.
- Manage between 6-10 Paid Media accounts (Google, YouTube, Bing, emerging AI platforms) with aggregate monthly spends ranging from $20,000 to $3M.
- Utilize Platform Ad Managers, third-party reporting tools, and AI to develop insights and action items to increase client revenues month-over-month.
- Implement real-time, proactive, and reactionary ad-buying decisions across multiple platforms in response to trends.
- Preemptively develop quarterly strategies for clientele based on success metrics, ad spends, YoY performance, and projections.
- Deep dive into competitor research, industry knowledge, and brand identity to manage client expectations and brainstorm new marketing initiatives.
- Understand full-funnel marketing strategies to ensure healthy new customer acquisition within the broader e-commerce equation.
- Deliver projections and forecasts that ladder into client quarterly strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years minimum of paid media advertising experience within Paid Search, Google specifically.
- 5+ years minimum managing paid search advertising for growing clients in the consumer space spending over $400k+ monthly aggregate spend.
- Mastery of the e-commerce marketing funnel from offer to ad to landing page to conversion.
- Expertise in developing, testing, and optimizing advertisement copy and short form video creative.
- Expertise in creative consultation for successful Paid Social Ads that convert.
- Background in data-derived decision-making and forecasting budgets/spend projections linked to perceived results.
- Experience with all core e-commerce revenue drivers and reporting on metrics like CPA, CAC, iROAS, aMER, CPM.
