Sezzle is looking for a Payroll Specialist to maintain payroll systems and process paychecks for our APAC region. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations for multiple countries. We are a technology company building a workforce management platform that simplifies global hiring and HR admin.
What You'll Do
- Process payroll for countries across APAC, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Review, check, and approve salary registers for the APAC region, ensuring payroll data aligns with country-specific rules.
- Generate invoices within the HRIS system based on payroll data and promptly share them with clients.
- Address client queries related to payroll and invoicing, providing clear and accurate guidance regarding APAC payroll processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve and build payroll processes for the region, ensuring smooth operations.
- Keep up-to-date with region employment tax regulations and laws, applying this knowledge to ensure compliant payroll processing.
- Summarize and report on payroll data.
- Prepare invoices monthly and respond to questions about payroll calculations and service fees to clients and internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, employer burden, and pension contributions for APAC countries.
- Well-versed in local employment tax rules and compliance across the APAC region.
- 3-5 years of experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role, focusing on payroll for APAC countries.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Experience with multiple global locations and upwards of 500 employee headcounts in multiple countries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for handling client queries and collaborating with internal teams.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
