The Partnerships Associate, Australia will become the go-to expert for their category on Whatnot, driving seller outreach, onboarding, and relationship management while leading marketing initiatives and using data to support category growth. This role is critical in shaping the future of live commerce by building strong communities of sellers and buyers across diverse categories.
What You'll Do
- Become the go-to expert on your category, including seller/buyer dynamics, community channels, influencers, and product nuances
- Become the face of Whatnot for the community of sellers and buyers that you represent
- Source and reach out to sellers to convince them to join and grow their business on Whatnot
- Leverage social media, outbound channels, and in-person events to recruit sellers
- Onboard groups of sellers, teaching them how to use the app
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers and top strategic partners to support their growth and meet their needs
- Collaborate with partners to develop business growth strategies
- Communicate product improvements and feedback to partners
- Spearhead diverse marketing initiatives, such as influencer partnerships/campaigns, to boost brand awareness and attract more buyers
- Use basic data analytics skills (SQL) to derive insights from projects and enhance process efficiency
- Utilize key data points to assess category growth, success, and areas for improvement, driving continuous iteration
What We're Looking For
- Passion for Whatnot's mission and deep understanding of community needs
- 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role
- Track record of working quickly and iteratively
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with limited guidance
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to fully own strategy and execution on both sides of an emerging marketplace
- Business acumen and deeply analytical mindset
- Comfortable understanding and manipulating data to gain and take action on business insights
