Political Asylum Lawyers is hiring a Paralegal to join our mission of helping immigrants fleeing persecution secure safety and asylum in the United States. This fully remote role involves performing a diverse range of administrative and substantive tasks, working closely with attorneys to develop compelling asylum cases.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with attorneys in serving clients and providing excellent advocacy.
- Assist clients in developing statements to be used in their case.
- Advise regarding evidence to be gathered.
- Write portions of legal briefs.
- Conduct research into country conditions information.
- Work with attorneys in framing and preparing the case.
- Serve as a point of contact with clients, supporting attorneys in engaging clients throughout the representation.
- Proactively manage cases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Compile and submit filings to immigration agencies.
- Perform administrative tasks.
